Knitting, a passion

 

My name is Marianne and I am a knitter since childhood.

I knit for myself and my love ones. This passion never left me.
Over time, design entered my life. Gradually, it grew to become part of my daily life. In 2014, I decided to create my own brand “Mar.Gue.Née” to share my creations and allow everyone to find patterns fiiting their figure.

Why Mar.Gue.Née?

Mar.Gue.Née is short for my 3 first names.
​

• Marianne : my grandmother on my mother's side.

• Marguerite : my great-grandmother on my mother's side.

• Renée : my grandmother on my father's side.

The first only left me her first name. Unfortunately, she died when my mother was only a little girl.

The second did not speak a word of French, but understood it very well. She grew up in Moselle during the German occupation. Beyond the language barrier, she taught me patience, perseverance and generosity.

The last one was an intelligent and highly educated woman. She was a strong and impressive person who taught me to look beyond appearances and how to love. She was the one who taught me different thread arts: embroidery, crochet, knitting, etc.
